Isaiah 52

How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Pictures

I have the best computer ever!!! I can't get over how excited I am about this computer! I have definitely spent way too much time on it the past couple of days, but I have been snowed in. I have been wanting a new camera, but I decided to keep the one I have and try my best to take good pictures. I was playing around on iphoto today and I discovered different ways to edit photos! Here are some of my favorite pics so far (including some from the snow days this week). Sorry it's a lot:

Snow!

So I didn't know it was supposed to snow today! What a surprise! 4 inches or more so far! I took pictures but I can't figure out how to download my Kodak software on my new computer yet. Ok that's all!

China!!

I really wish I was better at posting! I have been without a computer for about a month now, BUT I got a new one!! I finally got a MAC!! You have no idea how excited I am! I had a Dell and was constantly having troubles. My husband got a MAC about 3 years and has never had troubles with it. Finally after mine crashed two times, I was like this is it. I don't want to deal with it anymore. So we bought an iMAC. It is the best computer I have ever used! So hopefully I will be posting more now that I have an awesome computer I love to use!

So to update, Jonathan and I are going to China this summer! We have always had a heart for the country of China and it has always been a dream of mine to go. Jonathan went one summer for 8 weeks and now we have the opportunity to go together. We are going to take a group of college students from our church this May for 3 weeks. I can't believe it is actually happening. God has been so good to us. I am definitely nervous about raising the money, but I know that God wants us to go therefore, he will provide a way for us to get there. I am blessed to have a job that is willing to let me take off for a couple of weeks to go. My boss's exact words were, "I would rather you spend as much time as you need there than be here at work." How awesome is that?! We will be staying at a one of the college's in China and will have the opportunity to take some classes and be language partners. We will help them learn English and they will teach us Chinese. I am very excited about this! We will definitely keep you updated!

Eat Like Me

Haven't posted in a while because there is just nothing interesting going on....just work and school. Today has been a normal Saturday for me: breakfast, run, grocery store, laundry, etc. I am finally getting to sit down and rest though! I am not sure if I have ever mentioned this blog before, but it is one I am obsessed with reading....it is called Eat Like Me. Cristin Jones is a dietitian who blogs for Self.com. She writes about everything she eats and how to eat healthy even when you are really busy. Everyone should read this blog!! She gives great ideas about different meals and ways to cook healthy. She even eats dessert! Not all the time of course, but sparingly. I really think I should have been a dietitian....except not really. I just love learning about food and what is good for you and how much of everything you should eat in a day. My good friend Christeena (who I posted about previous to this one) is in school to be a dietitian. I am constantly asking her questions and she even let me borrow her text books so I could read about different foods. Cristin Jones was on Regis and Kelly this past week and for those of who don't know, Regis and Kelly is my favorite show! Cristin discussed 10 different super foods, here is  link to the video:

That's all I have for today!

Weddings!

Two of my really good friends has gotten married recently. Jamie and Miller got married on New Year's Eve! Let me tell you, definitely the best reception I have ever been to! They got married in Fayetteville and had their reception at the Garden Room. It was a big New Year's Eve party. I feel bad because I didn't take many pictures at all, I was to busy dancing to take pictures. Plus my camera sucks and it didn't take very good picutres because it was dark in the room. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Jamie and Miller but here are a couple that I took:
Rachel goes no where without her Big Sexy Hairspray!

My good friend Christeena got married this past Saturday. I was lucky enough to be a bride's maid! I took a lot of pictures at this wedding! She was definitely a beautiful bride!

I am so happy for you guys!!!

White Christmas!

Christmas this year was very exciting! Jonathan and I decided to open our stockings the Monday before Christmas then head to Jonesboro. Jonathan always gives the BEST stockings! This year we decided to not give each other candy. Instead we gave each other stuff to help us run and get ready for the Half Marathon! Jonathan gave me sport beans, GU, socks, granola bars, and EAS drinks! He also gave me lottery tickets and I won $30!!

We finally made it to Jonesboro Monday night. We stopped in Newport to see Jonathan's dad. It was great to see them! We spent several nights in Jonesboro and did Christmas with Jonathan's mom and brothers. Jonathan's mom got a new puppy! Her name is Anna Belle and she is so sweet!

We were going to head back to Newport Christmas Eve night and do Christmas with Jonathan's whole family, but Newport was flooding because of all the rain. We had to change plans. We ended up leaving Christmas Eve morning and drove to Newport to see his grandma and aunt. The roads were awful! I wish I had taken pictures! No car could have driven through what we did. Peoples homes and cars were flooded. It was horrible. Luckily Jonathan's family was ok. Well in the mean time, my parents were supposed to get snow. We were going to head to Bentonville Christmas day, but we knew we wouldn't make because of the snow. So, we decided to surprise my parents and show up Christmas Eve night! We made it back to Conway and hurried up and loaded all of our gifts and then headed to Bentonville! The drive was fine until we hit 540. It was like a blizzard came out of no where! I was terrified! Those roads were so dangerous! We drove about 25 mph all the way to Fayetteville in one lane of traffic. Once we hit Fayetteville the snow stopped coming down so hard and we had an easy drive the rest of the way. My parents were so excited we surprised them! Here are some pictures from our Christmas in Bentonville and my first white Christmas!

We were all tired when we got home! It was great Christmas!
