Happy Monday!

I was searching through blogs and found this blog. I saw that she does a Happy Homemaker Monday post every week and thought I would join in! Except that I'm not actually a homemaker, but I am until August...so I am going to just call mine Happy Monday.

The Weather... Not my favorite this week since I like to take AG for walks and sit outside in the sun and read!

Right now I am...
I am enjoying some down time after a busy morning...and also hoping that AG will quit crying and take her nap!

Thinking...
About Audrey Grace's doctor appointment this afternoon. She gets her first shots and I know we are both going to cry.

On my reading pile...
Follow Me by David Platt and Raising a Daughter After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George

On my TV...
There isn't much time for TV with a newborn, but if I have time, I'm usually watching Friends or Reba

What I found while surfing the Net...
I found so many great blogs!

On the menu this week...

Monday - Shepherd's Pie (Well Fed cookbook)
Tuesday - Metza Pie (Well Fed cookbook)
Wednesday - Chocolate Chili (Well Fed cookbook)
Thursday - Leftover chili
Friday - Hawaiian Chicken (Whole Family Strong blog)
Saturday - Lettuce Wrapped Fajitas
Sunday - ???

On my to do list...
Take AG to the doctor
Vacuum
Laundry
Finish a book study for work...since I have to go back the last two days of school :(
Water the garden and flowers
Play with AG
Cook supper
Workout

Looking Forward to this week...
We will have our 5 year anniversary this week and it's a three day weekend! Well for Jonathan!

Looking around the house...
I can definitely see that I need to vacuum our bedroom and dust our bedroom! Something I have to do everyday with two dogs!

From the Camera...

This picture was taken in our sunroom...my favorite room in the house! I love reading and I love relaxing in this chair!

On my prayer list...
Prayer for all of the college students as they go on different mission trips this summer around the world!

Bible Verse...

I hope you have a great Monday!!

Audrey Grace Meets the Family

Audrey Grace had a big week! She turned two months old and she got to meet some more of her family! She was able to meet three of her great grandmas, two aunts, and one cousin. AG was of course a doll and smiled the whole time they were here!

And here are some pics from my week! If you follow me on Instagram you have probably already seen these, but I am going to show them again! I love capturing life's greatest moments!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

My First Mother's Day

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day! It was such a great day and I am so thankful to be a mother! My first Mother's Day didn't quite turn out like we thought, but it ended up being so wonderful! Audrey Grace was supposed to be dedicated at church, but she was sick this weekend. Friday night she was running a fever so we decided that we didn't need to take her out in public. She is now doing much better and back to her happy little self! Our family still came in town and instead of going to her baby dedication, we decided to work in our yard and build a garden! This was one part of my Mother's Day gift!

This is what our house looked like when we first moved in. Not much curb appeal. Apparently the original owners LOVED monkey grass! Well, we hate monkey grass, especially when it is out of control like ours was!
This is what our yard looks like now! I love it! We took out all the monkey grass, planted an autumn maple tree and planted flowers! The only thing we have to do now is trim our bushes really good...not something we wanted to tackle after working in the yard all day!

We built a raised garden in the back yard. We have tomatoes, squash, all kinds of peppers, and herbs! I am so excited about our garden!

Like I said, my first Mother's Day was great! Jonathan always makes me feel so special!

Oh, and today Audrey Grace is 2 months old! I will give an update on her after she goes to her next checkup!

One Month!

I can't believe our sweet girl is already one month old! Here are some pictures of our first month with Audrey Grace:

You had your first pacifier. You don't really care about them that much, but occasionally they help sooth you.
Daddy gave you your first bottle! This will give mommy a little extra time to sleep at night!
Mommy likes to take pictures of you...but...
If I'm not quick enough you start to cry!
I got a good picture of you on your 1 month bday!
You and mommy go on walks everyday! You usually sleep the whole time.
You LOVE your swing! You sleep in it everyday!
You also love tummy time! You are really strong and can hold your head up! (Even though this picture doesn't show it)
You had your one month check up today! You are growing and healthy! You now weigh 9 lbs 6 oz and are 20 inches long.
You are just so cute and fun!!

Audrey Grace

I would like for you to meet Audrey Grace Burgin!! It's hard to believe she is actually here! I can't believe she will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! She was born on 3/13/13 and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19 inches long. She has been the best baby!! I couldn't ask for a more laid back and happy baby.

We had so many wonderful friends come to visit!! I wish I had more pictures!
AG on our way home from the hospital
One of Hershey and Tucker's first experiences with AG. They love her so much!
Our first outing as a family...AG's first doctor's appointment. She gained weight!!
Just a sneak peak at her newborn pics! Photos done by Kristen Hollensworth
This has to be one of my favorite pictures of her! She is so full of personality!
We dressed her up for her bf Jordan :)
Some of her clothes are still too big but she still looks cute!

I know I have only been a mom for a few weeks, but there are several things I couldn't live without! Here is my mommy must have list:

Books:
1. Babywise by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam
2. Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Baby by Marc Weissbluth
3. Raising a Daughter After God's Own Hear by Elizabeth George

Diapers and Such:
1. Pampers Swaddlers
2. Pampers Sensitive wipes
3. Arm & Hammer diaper pail (seriously I don't know what I would do without this!)

1. Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller

Breastfeeding:
1. Boppy Pillow
2. My Breast Friend Pillow
3. Lansinoh Nursing Pads

Baby Clothes:
1. The little outfit in the picture below! You will probably see her in this outfit a lot! We have several and they are the best and easiest for changing diapers. Plus it keeps her hands covered so she can't scratch her face.
