Two Months

Audrey Grace turned two months old last week! I can't believe she is already two months. Time has flown by and I  absolutely love being a mom!

Mommy had a fun photo shoot with you the day you turned two months old! You were so happy and didn't care that I kept changing your outfit so we had a lot of fun taking pictures!
You love playing with your daddy! You are definitely a daddy's girl! You get so excited when he walks in the room!
You've been going to the gym with mommy and daddy! You either sleep the whole time or are occupied by all the fun things to look at. You are so curious. You even like to wear your leg warmers when you go.
You and mommy have so much fun in the mornings. You usually sit in your bumbo while mommy eats breakfast. Then we go to your room and you play while mommy finishes her coffee.
You love playing! You are holding your head up so well and starting to roll over on your back!
You and mommy love to talk. You are a big talker!!
You took your first nap in your crib!
You've been going to church and you do so good in the nursery!
You have so much fun playing with Jordan! Well at least he has fun! Jordan adores you!
You smile ALL the time...unless you are hungry! You are seriously the happiest baby!
You had your two month checkup which consisted of your first shots :( This is the before and after picture. You were so happy and peaceful and then so sad after your shots. But you are back to being happy now! You weigh 11 lbs 10 oz and are 23 inches long. You are growing up so fast!
I have to end on a happier picture! You are the best Audrey Grace!!

Happy Monday!

I was searching through blogs and found this blog. I saw that she does a Happy Homemaker Monday post every week and thought I would join in! Except that I'm not actually a homemaker, but I am until August...so I am going to just call mine Happy Monday.

The Weather... Not my favorite this week since I like to take AG for walks and sit outside in the sun and read!

Right now I am...
I am enjoying some down time after a busy morning...and also hoping that AG will quit crying and take her nap!

About Audrey Grace's doctor appointment this afternoon. She gets her first shots and I know we are both going to cry.

On my reading pile...
Follow Me by David Platt and Raising a Daughter After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George

On my TV...
There isn't much time for TV with a newborn, but if I have time, I'm usually watching Friends or Reba

What I found while surfing the Net...
I found so many great blogs!

On the menu this week...

Monday - Shepherd's Pie (Well Fed cookbook)
Tuesday - Metza Pie (Well Fed cookbook)
Wednesday - Chocolate Chili (Well Fed cookbook)
Thursday - Leftover chili
Friday - Hawaiian Chicken (Whole Family Strong blog)
Saturday - Lettuce Wrapped Fajitas
Sunday - ???

On my to do list...
Take AG to the doctor
Finish a book study for work...since I have to go back the last two days of school :(

Looking Forward to this week...
We will have our 5 year anniversary this week and it's a three day weekend! Well for Jonathan!

Looking around the house...
I can definitely see that I need to vacuum our bedroom and dust our bedroom! Something I have to do everyday with two dogs!

From the Camera...

This picture was taken in our sunroom...my favorite room in the house! I love reading and I love relaxing in this chair!

On my prayer list...
Prayer for all of the college students as they go on different mission trips this summer around the world!

Bible Verse...

I hope you have a great Monday!!

Audrey Grace Meets the Family

Audrey Grace had a big week! She turned two months old and she got to meet some more of her family! She was able to meet three of her great grandmas, two aunts, and one cousin. AG was of course a doll and smiled the whole time they were here!

And here are some pics from my week! If you follow me on Instagram you have probably already seen these, but I am going to show them again! I love capturing life's greatest moments!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

My First Mother's Day

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day! It was such a great day and I am so thankful to be a mother! My first Mother's Day didn't quite turn out like we thought, but it ended up being so wonderful! Audrey Grace was supposed to be dedicated at church, but she was sick this weekend. Friday night she was running a fever so we decided that we didn't need to take her out in public. She is now doing much better and back to her happy little self! Our family still came in town and instead of going to her baby dedication, we decided to work in our yard and build a garden! This was one part of my Mother's Day gift!

This is what our house looked like when we first moved in. Not much curb appeal. Apparently the original owners LOVED monkey grass! Well, we hate monkey grass, especially when it is out of control like ours was!
This is what our yard looks like now! I love it! We took out all the monkey grass, planted an autumn maple tree and planted flowers! The only thing we have to do now is trim our bushes really good...not something we wanted to tackle after working in the yard all day!
We built a raised garden in the back yard. We have tomatoes, squash, all kinds of peppers, and herbs! I am so excited about our garden!

Like I said, my first Mother's Day was great! Jonathan always makes me feel so special!

Oh, and today Audrey Grace is 2 months old! I will give an update on her after she goes to her next checkup!
